Light
I feel a lightness in my soul.
A sense that all my colors
Have been bathed in new hues.
An assurance that life
Can always be made a new.
A lightness
A peace
A river washing down the tears
A boat which will transport my dreams
Unto a higher ground
I feel it. I know it.
And there are birds flying high
Into what has been rebuilt out of me.
Light in my silence.
Light in my waiting.
Light in what’s to come
Yes! There is a lightness into my soul….
