    LITTLE LAURA JANE

Ten wee fingers ten wee toes
Two bright eyes and a button nose
Are all the things that make life great
As we found out in 88
Thats the year our little girl
Came to meet this big old world
And life would never be the same
Now that we had laura jane

I would watch this tiny little tot
    Sleeping in her little cot
And warn bad dreams to leave her be
Or they would have to deal with me
I'd wish she knew how proud and glad
I felt because i was her dad
To watch her grow would be so cool
First tooth first step first day at school
I'd hold her hand and say a prayer
That if she'd need me i'd be there

Now my baby's all grown up
    Nearly sweet sixteen
She's gone from being a baby
    To a stroppy little teen
But thats all part of growing up
And i love her just the same
She will always be my baby
    My little laura jane.
