    The Little Lane

One night as i was sleeping i had the strangest dream,
I was walking down a little lane beside a little stream,
In my dream im not alone a man before me stands,
Im thinking wow i know this man as he firmly shakes my hand,
He speaks to me so kindly he even knows my name,
He joins me and we walk together down the little lane,

He says i have a job for you as we stroll around the bend,
I'd like you to mind a treasure a treasure that i'll send,
Says i now thats no problem but how much can i spend,
He said its not that kind of treasure and i will need your family too,
For minding this wee treasure will take all four of you,
I ask how long this job will take thinking a week or two,
He said it will take you all your life and your days off will be few,
I ask about the wages for a job as big as this,
He said you'll be paid daily your wage will be a kiss,

We talked and walked and talked some more then he said goodbye,
I stood there in the little lane not sure to laugh or cry,
Anyway we took the job we wanted to you see,
This man was God his treasure love we called her EMILY

AHHHH!!! That was just wonderful! I liked your rhyme scheme, and you have clever story telling abilities! I hope you have this printed up for little Emily. She will feel so special and will love to having this done by her Dad!
