Lost In

Lost in the corridors of a mind
A thought urgently tries to free itself
Like an infant struggling to be born
Darkness overwhelming it instead
It recedes back into the labyrinth

Lost inside a soul touched by the night
The duel nature of a man confuses
What is good without evil to battle
Sun being light and the stars rule the night
If perfection is reached does the moon die

Lost in the midst of a single heart beat
A life was wasted before it lived
Falling dead rather then fight on
It saw a glimmer of light but succumbed
Refusing to acknowledge existence

Lost in each of us is another
Looking for our mirror image
The one that understands all
That there is still only one truth
Lost in everyone of us is the answer

Wow, This poem is fantastic, The imagery , the whole feel. I love it..The last stanza really is so very powerful.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
