    Lost in who I was

Living life on the shady side
    Walking along a ledge
Without even a place lift to hide
Just trying to keep an edge

For how could i have known
the devil would take his chance
    With me and me alone
He would try his last and final dance

    Running wild and running free
Makes life a lot more hard
That is how i happen to be
In the game of life without the right card

Knowing i need to slow down
Maybe sit back against a tree
Once and awhile get out of town
Take the time to sit back and see

To him i will never give in
No i will never turn over my soul
For the greatest of any sin
Would be the devil to reach his goal

I like this story and it is something I can easily relate to as well. Well written and I see a lot of thought put into this too.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
