    Poem Commentary

I've written this work quickly, as my thoughts painted this in my head. It will need tender surgery to be sure.

    Meanders

    Meanders

    The river runs here,

      meanders through

       ---meadows,

    the-----undercut bank,

    slicing through the low

          hills, dividing

    this emerald scene

            with determined justice--

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
