    MY FRIEND, MY LOSS

Today I learned I lose another part of me
This is what I must be.
    Not ashamed of missing parts
    Not ashamed of broken hearts
Not afraid to let it go
Want to LIVE, but do not know
Very scared for a friend of mine
Who is dying, with little time
I wanna be strong, be a grown up
    wiping tears is not enough
    I smile, I smile, I cry, I cry
What's in store for me myself, and I?
The days go on , nothing forgiven
So sad am I, I see no Heaven.
So I lay me down to Sleep........

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
