    my journey

As i walk through the wet, mossy forest i can hear the faint padding of the forest floor as i walk aimlessly because of him. He tore my very soul from me when he left. He left quietly, almost unnoticed, but not by me; my friends didn't realize. They just didn't care. As the pain begins enrape me, and i begin to realize that he is gone forever, the forest gets greener, gets thicker and the trail becomes thinner. When will my journey, this painful, unfair journey end?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
