Needles, Scalpels, and other forms of Love

    I don't think you'll ever be mine
The scars run too deeply this time
And there's no doctor who can fix this
We musnt go in too close to the heart
Many have tried, it could tear her apart
    But I can't believe she's a lost cause
She's not dead yet, I'm going in anyway
Shake your heads all you want
We have a different opinion today
Be careful of the main artery!
    Sweat dripping, hands shaking
    I'm close, I gotta be
This isn't a wound to be operated on they cry
Ignoring their rants as time ticks by
    I think we're making progress
    Emergency, everything's spiking,
    Now everything's dropping
    He's losing the girl
Frantic and screaming, help me revive her
The others shake their heads, she's gone for sure
    Flatline
    Keep trying
    Flatline
    Keep trying
    Flatline...

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
