    Night on the Town

    Rap,stomp,
    Tick, tock,
    Laugh, play,
    Dance, say,
    Aloud a song,
    to the rhythmic
    beat, meet,
    People, club,
    Heart goes
    Thud, thud.

    Arms overhead,
    Lights, flash,
    Heads thrash,
    Out among
    the scene.
    Street, feet,
    Pound, sound,
    Happy faces
    all around.

    Voices spring,
    DJ's sing
    to the crowd.
    Couples mingle,
    Floorboards tingle,
    My feet.

    Having fun,
    Just a ton,
    Have to say,
    "It's the best",
    A nightclub,
    for all to test.

    Joys, nights,
    What sights,
    Particular faces,
    My heart races,
    To the never-ending night.

I liked the flow and speed of this write.... reminds me of when I had a job and went to this gay bar in Melbourne Fl..... off the chain it was..... I loved dancing and preforming for the people there even tho I wasn't the drag queen for the club I tried to be...... ty for the laugh memory and smile this write added to me today.... red

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
