    No Means No

I didn't ask for your hands on me.
    No means no.
I didn't ask for you money.
    No means no.
I didn't ask for your protection.
    No means no.
I didn't ask for your body.
    No means no.
Who told you that you had the right?
To take my body in the middle of the night?
Who gave you permission to try to control me?
Why wouldn't you just let me be?
You say you got game, but you won't let me go.
What don't you understand? No means no.
If a man hits me, he does it one time.
Ain't nobody gonna control this body of mine.
I don't have to let you take me, what don't you understand?
You need to quite acting like somebody's daddy, and try to act like a man.
I don't want your cash, and I don't want your love.
    No means no.
    I don't care if you're begging me.
    No means no.
I've told you once, and I'll tell you once more--
I'm sick of your mess, and no means no.

As adults, we're all responsible for nurturing the minds of young ones. Good poem.

Wow. That was completely heart felt. I think there are so many of us that go through the same *@*@! ... well done.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
