    Now

Today I didn’t want to lie

    I didn’t want to talk

    I had nothing to say

    In the way of conversations

That barely touch the surface of reality

    Living in fallacies

    U humor me

But I don’t want your company today

Leave me with the symphony or a little R&B

    I am hungry

I could use the food for my soul

Filling me with the taste of serenity

    Sweet.

    Have you ever tasted peace?

    It’s an absolute treat!

Like Coltrane in the August heat

It comes in as the cool reminder

Of another space that understands the beat

The rhythm of the beat that pulsates through the

    Center of life

Flowing in its natural progression to Eternity…

That’s what I was trying to see today Eternity

But yesterday got in my way
