    OLD MAN

    OLD MAN

    As a new day begins
    I bury yesterdays sins
    As a new day begins

    Freshness of a mornings breeze
pushes through my clothing, my skin
    Chilled
How it enters with such ease

    I shiver
    Though it feels refreshing
    I'm so cold
     I remember days like this
    when I was younger
Yes, I remember days like this
    as I grow old

With my life what have I done
    Raised hell,    drank whiskey,
and with those crazy women, I had fun

    But now I am old
My bones are weak and they are cold
    My mind misses
    what my mind has aquired
    My heart is failing
    and my body's so tired

    As the sun sets,
    my soul shall rise
    Into the heavens
    and await my prize.
