I know you are gone and you taught me well in our time together

You’re the reason Im the man I am today the respectful strong willed man

One who defends others when they are weaker and treats his friends and family like gold

One who loves only one and gives his heart to only them yet shares his heart with many

For I know if you had left me sooner I would be a different person and waste my life

Now when I need you more then ever for my world is not the same Im falling apart

I can’t seem to do anything right I break things I lose at most

Yet thanks to you I know I will not always fail

I wish I could have shown you grand kids like my sister but it was not to be in your life

I no longer walk alone Im sure you have noticed that I found one who cares for me

Well Im always happy that like father like son Im allowed to just be me

Well now I know when I sleep at night you watch over me as the wise coyote

We all miss you but I took it the worst since you were the only one I trusted

I still have not cried for your passing and that is eating me someday though I will

So this poem to you my teacher, my hero, my dad I write to show my love.
