One Day: For Me

One Day: For Me

The moon caresses the night sky
with its glittering beams from heaven.

Stars twinkle as if speaking to each other
in a language all their own.

Comets stream across the earth,
leaving its tail to encircle the world
like a wedding band on a bride’s finger.

The planets twirl on their axis and orbits
like a never ending pendulum swings to-and-fro around the sun.

The galaxies end in a black hole where time stops for no one;
sucking everything up that is not wanted like
a vacuum to the dust-bunnies, one on which I sit in the universe.

For my time will come for me to shine
brighter than the moon, stars, and sun combine.

As Father Time is my witness
I WILL have my day of triumphant glory.

I can see that real earnest want to succeed in this one... Prolly my fave of yours...\ Stick with what ever it is your reaching for, this kinda conviction always wins out...a vacuum to the dust-bunnies, one on which I sit in the universe. love that line...

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
