    Poem Commentary

A poem for my beatiful mother. Her smiles are always in my heart.
I hope to gaze on that sweet face for oh-so many years.

Out of the Box and Up to the Stars

A certain sentimentality is par for the course

    when talking of my mother.

We have had many years of being in our own boxes

separated by not only by space but time.

The time of Oregon shores is past

her face was one sweet smile.

    A randomness to our minds

belies the steadiness of our hearts.

In my heart we are always holding hands

standing in the dark searching for UFO's in those dark skies.

She is always my guiding light

whether sick or well or in between.

It doesn't matter to me, to God, to page-turning Time.

Let's just put our hands together and watch those ghost lights shine.

    Love to my mother

(The best person I know on this Earth)
