Plead my case

you've changed for the better , is that so
well why can't I even begin to tell
you've change to the devil, you grow
by the night straight from the pits of hell
singing your lyric to the tune that I have memorized in my mind
feeling your evil spirit in the room only brings tears to my eyes
you act so surprised now that you realize I was your blessing sent from God
now you realize that when you hypnotize me it was him you were testing, goodbye
my love my hate my weakness you snake
carry your torch you deserve every inch of your fate
you were, my mistake
now I must move on, move on from this rape
I know that I'm strong but steps are harder to take
alone, and gone from home, with so many burdens to shake
God did it all but he did not do it in one day
so I am going on and I am going to handle this weight
cause one day I know he will let me stand and plead my case

Your piece here weaves a bridge that contiually weaves back and forth between abstract and actual perception. That's a rare skill. Try composing your work on Word then copy and paste it to the site; that way the grammar and spelling function on the program will take care of the typos. Your style is raw and real, there isn't much that can detract from it's power.

yeah, you plead your case very well and to me, you not only did it with grace and style, you did it in a way to keep people hanging on every word.....i say you still strong and your poetry proves it thru and thru, keep it up.....

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
