    • I became insane, with rare intervals of horrible sanity

    Poem

A poem is much like a life.

    Painfully twisted and torn,

    At times loved and reborn.

But let me assure you it is no fairytale.

In a life there is that grueling time

And like a poem it lacks the rhyme.

Yet only the rarest of us bend down

And can truly see beyond the frown.

Brief and bold. A great grasp of reality within these lines. ________________________ Great write. 10

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
