    "Depression Overcome"

    Trapped in such limited space,
feeling the pressures of my existence,
wanting to go beyond my psychological boundaries,
    I understand my fears
as a package of simple truths,
When opened shall reveal he pain and suffering
         of loneliness and despair.
Denial can only bring more anguish,
and certainly a future of nil.
    Whereas the spoken acceptance,
         of this mind-crippling illness,
    Will then heal my soul
and give me life with no more social death.
No longer shall anxieties imprison my heart.
And no longer shall this sense of panic
         overwhelm my actions.
    For now like the bird,
         I shall soar freely,
Unconscious to this consistent concept of worry.
I become oblivious to my pain,
and at last begin to heal,
With love and happiness as my only emotions.
         and peace,
                             peace,
                                          finally peace,
                                                                     is all I feel.
