Poem Commentary

This is actually the newest song in my catalogue..It was born in May 2009 in Manhattan, NY.  I just finished what would probably be the final drafts in June 2009.. I wrote this piece for my friend Dana Brown.. She's so adorable and I love her..

"Interstallar Heart"

"Interstellar Heart"

Verse 1:
Please believe I'm on this mission wishing I do not succumb..
And to strengthen my knees till they weaken.
The intensity gets the best of me..
And perplexing is the complexity of how your subtle spirit
plants the seed that flourished into the apple of my eye..
You breathed your life into my dead..
But to tell her what I want is to tell her that I've loved
her for so long.

Chorus:
Step into my magnetic field -
Put your hand on my left breast and feel what I've felt you
Want to feel your heat - not an inch apart
Want to feel the pounding of your interstellar heart..

Verse 2:
Resurrect me within a eulogy-
The music is your voice and you're the requiem..
I'd fine truth even inside your false..
Interstellar hearts worn on our sleeves..
Kinetic energy's own inertia..
The immovable object that drives the unstoppable force of my love
for those two green eyes..
Into the windows of her soul I stared.
But to tell her what I want is to tell her that I've loved her for so long..

Bridge:
Kind green eyes in contrast to the natural gift that blessed her face.
Undernieth my eyelids, the image is is forever branded and engraved.

such eloquent words to use for a popsong. i'd love to hear it. is it up somewhere online? i play music too. and i love this sight because it strenghtens my writing. well if you'd like to check out my music go here www.werefarout.com and let me know where i can find your music. i'd love to listen how these words sing.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
