Samantha

Been a grip since we've kicked it
Been a minute since you saw me
No more spooning on Tuesdays
With Vic, Shane, and Ronnie
And this last girl I had?
Funny she looked almost like you
But I'd only kiss her when I missed you
And I loved her to spite you
Yeah I held her so I could forget you
So I could forget about when I left you
Forget about when you left me
So I could forget about what we went through
Cause it would drive me mad
Thinking about all the times we had
All the good and the bad
And how it all led to sadness
When it came to a rest
It left madness on my end
And on your end too maybe
It all seems too crazy
Crazy how much she's changed
Crazy how much we've changed
Crazy we're still the same old faces
Just kicking it different ways
Just living our separate ways
Just living our better days
Yeah better days is what I call them
Or at least that's what I'm claiming
But if there was a song I could sing
That would make you come hopping
I'd sew my lips shut
'Cause that's about all that would stop me
'Cause to this day I've still not seen
Anyone's brain hulk so meanly
Heard feet said so sweetly
Or any Y-W-B-B's
But I guess thats the point
It's the solution we came to
You can just blame me
And I can just blame you

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
