    Sgt. Alexander...U.S. Armed Forces

    Creatively I scribbled your name
How happy I felt that day,

All of my senses were amplified
    Wanting you home right away.

    Every moment excited me
    Every hour that slowly past

Constantly I thought about you, my husband
    Here, at home, at last!

I've waiting 15 months for you
Never thought you'd be deployed for that long,

Now your back here with the kids and me,
    right where you belong.

Thank you for your service, families carry a greater burden than anyone should.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
