Standing at the seashore

Standing at the seashore

Standing at the seashore

I am looking at the horizon

Where water kisses the sky

I am thinking aimlessly

And looking at the sinking sun

My eyes burn yet I see your image

Brighter than setting sun

And looking at me what I do

I am here again

You smile and look at me again

I am here to bury my wishes

Or to throw them in the ocean

To get rid them off

I am here again

As I came several times before

To wash the memories of the past

I am here again

To lower the burden of thoughts

That I have loaded for long

I did wash my thoughts

I did bury my wishes

And I did throw my desires in deep water

Yet when ever I go back

I find every thing with me

Like a shadow

That I see not only in light

But in dark as it lights

I feel you with me

You are my desire

You are my wish

My desires are my part

My wishes are my life

They are for you

They are you

You are my wish

You are my desire

That I cannot shun

You are with me

In my thoughts and in my memory

You are in me

You in me like my soul

You are my shadow in light

You are my courage in dark

You and I

And I and you

We are one

I cannot bury my thoughts

I cannot wash my memories

Because I am with you

I am for you.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
