Star Light

Star Light

Traveling east into the night

Trying to escape the city light

The oppression I feel

As cold and hard as steel

I just need to get away

To focus on Him who’ll

        Guide my way

As I run to…

Star light, moon light

Breath clean air tonight

To get away I run

To find my way I run

To star light, moon light

His light, Son light

My days get full so quick

        Make time for this

Don’t forget to do that

36 hours in a 24 hour day

The demon has me, I’m losing

        My way

I gotta run to…

Star light, moon light

Breath clean air tonight

To get away I run

To find my way I run

To star light, moon light

His light, Son light

I’ve run ‘til I can’t run

        Any more

Drop to my knees let my

        Spirit soar

Jesus take my hand

        Help me to stand

Firm in Your way

        Through my loaded days

To always walk in…

Star light, moon light

Breathing free tonight

I ran to get away

I ran to find my way

To lose my troubles in

His star light, moon light

        His light, Son light

I found the further I ran

The closer I got to know

I did not need to run

at all

The light was always there

Always waiting to share

His light, Son light

You don’t need to run

You don’t have to go far

Stand still and listen

He knows where you are

Just close your eyes

And open your heart

And you will see…

Star light, moon light

His light, Son light
