    still

    silent longing miserable but fearless
    a constant battle to replay
    day upon day
    searching the crowds for you
    a song a sound a smell
    triggers the war within
    surrender I must
    so I can survive
    the pain of you
    trying to ignore that
    I indeed love you

Wow is all I can muster up as my emotions go up and down. I feel for you and your pain. The worst pain in life. I love your ending of so I can survive the pain of you trying to ignore that I indeed love you still. And the way you brought still down a bit further from the poem was very intense for me. It validated even more the love. Hugz

This is a lovely and refreshing poem on lost love. Reminds me of the poem I wrote - Panther In The Night. Good job.

Evocative, and passionate. this poem embraces the desolation of so many new widows or those simply left behind by a dissolute mate. Harv
