SURPRISE FROM ABOVE
Give me a surprise today.
A pack beautifully bundled
In tags of Gold inscriptions,
Cherub delivered
A message of Divine love
Gift above human comprehensive
Of my request not demanded
But of your pleasured will.
Spicily seasoned, sweetly flavoured
Beating my finite thoughts and aspirations
A kindle to the gentlest of souls;
Forever like a child will rest
In the choice most suitable,
Willing to trust into the serenity
Of a doting father’s arms.
Supplies beyond my daily need
In proportion to manifold riches
To be received in joy and contentment.
O! Let me rejoice in your trust
And willingly look up daily to say-
Surprise me Dear Lord.
