    The Change

The clock keeps perfect rhythm as it counts, the seconds slowly slip away. One by one they fall. Each passing second is a time of change. It is hard to accept it, and know that there is nothing you can do to stop it. The events unfold and you feel helpless in a world that does not seem to care. You have questions, but you get no understanding. There is no meaning to the madness only more confusion. It consumes your very being and you just wish that it would end, but it does not. You feel trapped with no escape. You feel hopeless, and wonder how will you go on, but go on you must. There is something that burns deep within you that is in your very being, something that will not allow you to give up, and it hurts. It is the constant reminder of your failures your dreams your hopes and the fact that you are not in control, all come crashing down on you. The nightmare that has become your reality drones on. You want to wake from a dream that you are living. You are afraid! Afraid of the things that are unseen, of the things that are leering around the corner. When will pain be over, when does the hurting stop. There is no answer, only more questions. The realization sets in that you will never be normal again. The change has consumed you and transformed you, and the seconds continue to count. Tick Tock Tick Tock!

words from the heart are always the best words.....this is heartfelt, and mimics the feelings many people have, after a failed love affair.......i....like many......have been down that same road.......but things do get easier......in time.

I don't know you ,but your words speak of all the emotions ,I live this way and you have put all the truth into your poem. Thank you for that. May you continue with your words of love.
