    The Great "I AM"

    I am the finger
    that does no pointing
    I am the soul
    that needs no anointing
    I am the tongue
    that does no preaching
    I am the mind
    that needs no teaching
    I am the magic
    that has no illusion
    I am the life
    that has no confusion
    I am the eye
    that releases no tear
    I am the voice
    that reveals no fear
    I am the flame
    that needs no fire
    I am the passion
    that has no desire
    I am the hand
    that needs no other
    I am the body
    that needs no lover
    I am the driver
    that needs no direction
    I am the heart
    that needs no affection
    I am the sun
    that needs no sky
    I'm the false prophet
    I AM THE GREAT LIE

Wow! Beautful, Motivating, resonating, Thought remaking! I love the meter and the rhyme of the Great I am, but mostly the 'Message' Paul

Thank you Paul! I remember when I wrote this...I was literally "itching" to write and it's one of those that just started when I put the pen on the paper and suddenly it was done. I didn't even want to re-read it, for the truth it revealed to me about myself.

AMAZING! You definitely have a talent. I am new to this site and you now have a brand new fan. FLAWLESS!!!!!! This piece really made me think. Sometimes we walk around as if we don't need, want, or desire anything and it's all just a big lie. Thanks for the reality check!

Hello KimKim! Thank you for your comments. Yeah like you said, the reality is...we need it. It's how we are designed. To give and receive. So give! and allow yourself to receive as well.

I was worried while I read then you set that hook in me. Excellent job!

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
