    The Journey

    The Journey

I love you more than a warm spring nite
when the moon shines so bright I can see
the steel blue gray of your eyes as clearly
as if it were mid day.
Even the flower in all its awe inspiring beauty
strong as a mountain fragile as a new born child
Even the flower can’t compare to the beauty and love
    I’ve seen in your eyes
Of all of the thing’s that I know the
least understood and saddest thing by far
is to love so completely that you fail to see
    that you’re in love alone
As he wrote a tear fell from his eyes
    and sat upon the paper
before it soaked through to eternity
he saw his image in it and it made him sad

Well done. Thank you for sharing.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
