The Pain Within

The Pain Within

The pain I feel, I cannot hide.
The prick I feel, is like knives stabbing me all over inside.

When I'm alone,
I'm afraid, I may not see another day.

I live in a world of wrong,
It's almost like a sad, sad song.

The pain and fear is wearing me out,
as much as I try, I just can't get out.

I'm trying my hardest, I swear,
But this brick wall I built is full of dis pear.

I'm afraid my time is running short.
I believe I want to live again, to feel the love, not the pain withing.

It's time to deal with my feelings.
I bet it's all about HIM.
The pain I am feeling within.

very nice, If you could get the flow to be more even it would be the perfect poem. I like it though, I can tell it comes from your heart.

you have good rhymes, but if you use rhyme, then you need to work on meter, so it will flow.or, throw out the rhyme and do free verse. the thoughts are good. "despair" is spelled wrong. i use microsoft word to catch spelling errors.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
