    Poem Commentary

This poem was written for my Mom and I read it at her graveside to help bring comfort to family and friends.

    The Party

The party's just beginning for Edna has arrived
The banster of Heaven ia full with resident pride
Her friends, her relatives, all the people she once knew
Have come to wish her welcome, one that's overdue
It's been a long hard struggle to get her here with us
All the fears and worries are left behind we trust
The Master hugs and greets her, to take her place with Him
Looking down from Heaven she knows it'll soon begin
Time to start her new life with the Father and the Son
and send the Holy Spirit to those who's yet to come
We cheerished all the moments and know within our hearts
the memories and love of you will never ever part

This poem is truly from the heart. It paints a picture of heaven waiting for us all. Kind of reminds me of the final scene in the movie Tiantic. Sweet yet you want to join everybody for the party

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
