    Poem Commentary

    A bit simplistic and cliche...

    The Promise of Spring

I feel the rush of spring

    Its energy breaths

    In every being’s soul

    It is brought to me

By each smell in the breeze

    And a rush of wings

I hear it as it sighs

    Through every cat's breath

    And my heart's longing cries

    Winter has not yet gone

    Spring is just a dream

    In bright dawn light

    But I still feel spring

    As day light teases

    Sparkling spider webs

    Bright touch of green

    And wind through trees

    With the promise of spring

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
