     Would've been convenient
    to know you were insane
    before we got into all this

    Black mascara wouldn't
    streak my pillowcases

    I wouldn't have humiliated myself
    dissecting your love poems
    to other women
     
    Or hidden in the bathroom
    between white porcelain
    and a frigid wall
    grasping knees
    in nylon panties
    and barefeet
    frozen
    on a slutty tile floor

    But you are innocent
    the truly insane
    never know
    who they are

    Oh my God! This is really true! You've encapsulated in so few words some of the unconscious emotional "collateral damage" of many contemporary human relationships, and as usual, you've managed to convey erotic appeal along with the message.
