    THE WATERS EDGE

I walk along the waters edge.
A serene peace hovers over this land,
The smell of lilacs within the breeze,
    This place untouched by man.
Heaven upon the earth we know,
    Thou this place is forsaken.
    Shall I tell another soul?
    Fear that chaos will awaken.
The tranquil being of this land,
    Has touched my mortal soul.
An when I walk the waters edge,
    I never walk alone.

Beautifully written. It is always hard to share special places because then they stop being ours. Lilacs are my favorite of flowers.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
