    To Whom it May Concern

Show me what I need to see.
Guide me where I need to be.
Give me that which I have lost,
some material and some without worldly cost.
Fortify my ground so none can defy.
Build my foundation where the righteous lie.
    Let not my ground shake.
    Let not my soul bake.
    Let not I go astray.
Let not my soul see another hellish day.
Let not another god I submit,
not even money, wine, beer, booze, guns or cigarettes.
I live by your word everyday.
Many think I'm foolish, they say.
My friends have turned on me.
It seems like the world is standing against me.
Strengthen me for the day ahead of me.
Let not my work be in vain.
As long as I feel rewarded, they all can think I'm insane.
Let my patience ride the day.
Let peace be across the land I survey.
Let it be a blessing from you.
Let not a day goes by without giving thanks to you.
Let my life blossom into full bloom.
Broaden my horizon, give me plenty of room.
Let the storm cease and the chastisement end.
In your great name I ask these things. Amen.
