Train a Child

Train a Child

Train a Child

Train a child in the way they should go

By sowing good seeds to promote their growth

Through song, dance, and the word of God

So when they are old they will not depart

Teach them to meditate

On God’s word day and night

So when time comes

They are able to fight the good fight

Applying the word

To whatever comes their way

Making sure they are equipped and know how to pray

Tell them the stories of days gone by

How God created heaven and earth

And hung the moon and stars in the sky

Explain how man was made in God’s image

How the world was perfect until sin entered it

Teach them to study the bible for lifelong lessons

On how to protect themselves from the enemy

And obtain their blessings

Remember, your journey may be long

And your road may be tough

But in the word of God

You can always trust

That He is faithful

To complete the work he began

If you agree

Say Amen!
