    TRAPPED INSIDE OF ME

It's sad to think that I must die
And meet my maker in the sky,
When such sweet peace I long to find,
Cannot be found, cannot be mine,
Not on this earth while I'm alive.

Chaos and turmoil cause me strife,
With sickness the ruler of my life,
Disease and death are daily companions
As my mind withers within and canyons
Form and take away my thoughts.

Take away, take away, take away all,
So I won't know you when you call,
Bit by bit I slowly disappear,
But I am not gone for I am here,
I'm trapped inside and filled with fear.

    For I can't remember who I am
Or who I was or what I plan
To do today or was it yesterday?
I stand before you so afraid
That for you I no longer exist today.

Do you see me like I used to be?
Can I count on you to remember me?
For I cannot replace the void inside,
So deep inside is where I hide,
Lost and alone until I die.
