    TRUE COLORS

Color me confident, color me secure
Color me strong, with ability to endure
Color me intelligent, color me courageous
Color me with love that's truly contagious
Color me compassionate, color me caring
Color me with generosity that doesn't mind sharing
Color me saved, color me free
Color me destined, for I am royalty!
Color me tenacious, color me reliable
Color me with resilience that says I am viable
Color me proud as much as I am meek
Color me with style that makes me unique
Color me trustworthy, honest, and true
Color me with the acceptance that lets you be you
Color me integral, color me dignified
Color me with beauty that comes from deep inside
But don't color me with a label, misleading and cold
Black isn't the color, it's the qualities of my soul!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
