Understanding

I kind of felt something really weird

As my heart beat grew ever strong

It was for sure evidently clear

Realizing I could not hold you long

Things may turn in split moments

But do they ever turn in around?

I know I expect impossibles to be

No matter how strangely I sound

Can it ever become a true thing?

Where our hearts meet in harmony

Or are we at all in this together

For I alone seem to be in agony

Tell me not to start this over again

Tell me where I actually stand

Reveal the truth before I go insane

My mind just cannot understand

I accept the fact that we are two

I appreciate that we differ as such

But I too expect to be understood

I think-not I am asking for much
