From the day you are born,  you are like a plain chunk of clay. You can become anything you want

    A star
    A bowl...
    ANYTHING

Its your choice. People will influence your choice but the final decision is always going to be yours.
Once in the kiln there is little room for change. Once painted your original color will always stay
So you can me a something basic or you can do what i did...

I went into the kiln a small lifeless caterpillar...
and came out a radiant butterfly, brilliant colors filled my wings

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
