To see through eyes like glass
with no remorse of my past
Longing for that touch
but only to be forgotten by so much
as a dream I can fly so free
but in life my feet hold them be
not understanding the facts of life
like a blind man begging for spare change
unlike all who see through these eyes of glass
with a black mind and a mask
true life is within the beholder
only to be shunned on thy shoulder
No more tears should be wasted today
as the light will touch and show the way

WOW, "No more tears should be wasted today as the light will touch and show the way", that is a great line. Makes me think of my mom. Great write!!!!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
