    Watching her slip away

    She's fragile and broken

    Glued together and torn

    Her hopes are all empty

    this time patience is worn

    She cannot see future

    only dreams of the end

she can't turn the pain off she feels over and over again.

I watch her slip slowly into the abyss

    I walk with her firmly,

    guarding her,

    fighting this...

    She cannot speak clearly

    her fear sucks her in

I've got to stop her madness from boiling within...

    She's drowning,

    She's shaking,

    She's everything but gone

I can't watch her fade and pretend that i'm numb.

    Touching her,

    kissing her,

    She's alive and can feel

    But the razor she clinches,

    stinging,

    Is so real...

    I've begged and i've pleaded

    why can't she just see???

Only the strength locked inside can truely set her free....

I take her into my hands and wash it from her

Outraged and scared of what she could have done

    I watch as she sleeps

And I wonder what's to come???

I can't watch her slip away again

so I hold tightly to my love, my best friend.
