    When

There goes my friends, we've all grown apart.
There goes my spirit, along with my heart.
There goes my childhood, you wouldn't let it stay.
There goes my freedom, you've taken it all away.
There goes my courage, you forced it to quit.
There goes my life, you really turned it to shit.

When will I be good enough Dad?
When will you ever stop being mad?
When do I finally get a thank you?
When will you realize all that I do?

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
