Wipe The Tears From Our Eyes
I know these times are hard and no words can really heal,
The pain of loss of a loved one;it's a feeling that we feel.
Though we lost a soldier in the army of the Lord,
What God has in store is a much bigger award.
She stayed strong in the spirit despite what the world can entice,
So she receives God's Medal of Honor which is Eternal Life.
I know you want to cry, but wipe the tears from your face,
Cause in our hearts we all know that she's in a better place.
Just remember all the good times and keep them logged into your mind,
So if you're looking for a reason to smile,those thoughts won't be hard to find.
We all have our future in which God has already written,
And that's the scroll of our hearts; the reason why we are living.
Every day is a step closer to our final resting place,
Leading to the day at the gates when we finally see His face.
When He opens up that book; I'm knowing and believing we will find,
Our names written and encrypted along that dotted line.
And as we finish out eternity in the heavens above the skies,
We will still remember our beloved friend, and "Wipe The Tears From Our Eyes."
