    Young Man I Never Knew

    Young man I never knew,
    why do you linger?
Is it to watch of your mother,
    that loved you so?
Or to watch over her lover,
    that held you close?
    Young man I never knew,
I know you watch over both.
    For your memory lives here,
    as if you never left.
    Young man I never knew,
    I see your pictures,
    that dot this house,
    like tiny stars of memories
shining thru the darkness of deepest
    pain.
    And in those gentle eyes,
    I see a great sadness,
that perhaps not even you could
    explain.
    Young man I never knew,
In one of my darkest hours,
    I felt you there,
and I thank you for your comfort.
    Young man I never knew,
Show her that it is ok to finally
    say goodbye.
    Young man I never knew,
show her that it is not her fault.
That the guilt she holds, bears no weight.
Let her know, it's ok to let it go.
    Young man I never knew,
    let your brother know,
    that all will be ok.
    Young man I never knew,
    You mother misses you,
    Your friend misses you,
    Even though you have
    long since left this
    plane of exsistence,
I know you are still here.
I see you from the corner of my eye,
    hovering over your mother.
    Standing behind your friend,
giving comfort, where ever it is needed.
    Young man I never knew,
    kiss your mother,
    and hold her tight.
    Let her know,
    that you're alright.
    Young man I never knew,
    Thank you.

all i can say is wow

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
