    Your Picture

As I look at your picture

    A handsome man I see

    A strong man, physically

    A Godly man, spiritually

A man with eyes that tell a story

A man whose fight has brought him glory

A man whose heart is truly sorry

Broad shoulders carrying a heavy load

Arms that want someone to hold

Legs to walk out of that ugly hole

A mind filled with great thoughts

Ears to hear me when I call

My love, I’m waiting to give you it all.

Be sure to whisper this beautiful poem into his ear under the warm light of a candle.

That is a lovely thought. Thank you for reading my poem. My writing is so plain and simple next to yours. I love your way with words.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
