a prisoner

Can I be a prisoner of your love?
Is it not a cruel thing
I can't see life without you
In the past I would step into the grey nothing
That has claimed me every day
before you entered my life
How now I am so full and alive
You bring me happiness
In turn all I want is your smile
to light up my days
Warm sunshine on my face
I want only the best for you, and try hard to be that
Your beauty goes unsurpassed
nothing compares to that
Except the caring you lovingly give
I love every moment with you
for all its pain i feel the ache of love
My lover, my mother my powerful one
Only you my dearest

Lovely, I love the way it starts out ,you have the reader going done one path, and then it does a 380. Being a mother I am touched by your words here.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
