Poem Commentary

I wrote this poem on mothers day some years back 'I cant quite remember how many years ago'. This is a poem that i not only put my heart into but pieces of my life as well.

Always Love You (mothers day)

Now your awake and you can see
This
flower and card you get from me
I wish there was more that I could give
To help, if just a little with this life that you live
I know it must be hard to do all you've done
To try to raise a family all alone
To go through
cancer not once but thrice
And still give your life to
God, a sacrifice
I know I don't often say ""I love you""
Yes these words are way past due
But I want you to know every word is true
That I will always, always love you.
