Asleep, I dream what seems to be
A wonderful dream of you and me
Standing together, hand in hand
We let go of lifes every demand
Lost in your eyes as you are in mine
We let our love rid all thoughts of time
So lost in your beauty that I do not see
This tragedy drawing nigh unto me
For as I focus on you in whole
Death creeps in to claim my soul
Lifeless, my body falls to the ground
My spirit arises and I look around
Searching for you, running with haste
I need you now, no time to waste
In the darkness I find you alone
The sadness in your eyes are shown
From tears running down your face
All happiness gone without a trace
Longing for you I cry out your name
But you cant hear me, you stay the same
I reach out to touch you but pass right through
I know now that I'm invisible to you
Helpless I watch you as you cry
As anger and sadness inside me vie
So overwhelmed in bitter pain
I fall to the floor and lay there lame
Watching you slowly fade from view
I wake with a jolt and search for you
Realizing now it was all a dream
Everything that happened, all I've seen
Gone but yet I still feel pain
This helpless feeling still remains
So close and yet so far away
Your pain and sadness I cannot sway
So now I'll carry on the day
Consumed by anguish in every way
