    Always Remembered

    "Always Remembered"

You were my dad and my best friend
I pray to the Lord, when will I see you again

It's been a year since you went away
My childhood memories seem like yesterday

I would walk up from a hard play
You would smile at me and you would say

Come on over here and sit on daddy's lap
Oh how I wish I could do just that

It's been hard through out this year
And I know I have shedded more than just one tear

But there will always be a tear in my eye
Especially when I look up in the sky

I know you're up there looking down at me
And I hope you are proud of what you see....

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
